Imprisoned former Interior Minister Yury Lutsenko has finally been brought to Kyiv from the Mensk Prison Colony to undergo surgery at the Oberih Clinic. The Penitentiary Service claims both Lutsenko and his wife were warned that "current legislation" did not allow visits

The German newspaper Die Zeit reports that hackers have posted 5,132 supposed emails from the imprisoned former Prime Minister’s daughter Yevhenia Tymoshenko, suggesting among other things an extortionately large fee to the Berlin Clinic Charite treating the imprisoned opposition leader 
On Tuesday in a letter to Yanukovych, the imprisoned former Prime Minister and opposition leader Yulia Tymoshenko announced a stand of civil disobedience and said she would not be attending any court hearings or cooperating with the investigators 
On the eve of a meeting with the EP President which may decide to extend the Ukrainian Monitoring Mission, Yulia Tymoshenko stated that she was refusing to attend court, speak with the investigators and was returning to her ward as a mark of civil disobedience. 
Ukraine is set to take over the presidency of the OSCE in January 2013. The country has said it wants to strengthen human rights during its term - while facing criticism for its own democratic credentials 
The application cannot be made until the cassation appeal has been heard. This is being delayed by the High Specialized Court
