On 26 November, after consideration of the appeal, the court cancelled the decision of an investigating officer on institution of criminal case against Oleksandr Lomaka, a member of the public campaign “Pora!”. O. Lomaka was detained on 20 October in Chernigiv for the illegal storage of explosives (part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

Mass detentions of activists of the public movement “Pora!” took place in many towns of Ukraine. In the majority of cases, owing to the active reaction of human rights protecting organizations, these repressions were stopped. Everywhere, where these organizations protected the detained, the legal aid was rendered in time, and the accusations were not confirmed.
The criminal case, instituted against Volodymir Zakaliuzhny, a participant of the public campaign “Pora!”, in accordance with Article 186 of the Criminal Code (“Open stealing of others property (robbery)”), was closed on because of absence of criminal event thanks to the assistance of the Foundation for legal aid to the victims of violations of human rights of the Ukrainian Helsinki union of human rights.

On 4 December 2004 the event took place in the Ukrainian Parliament, which might exert very negative influence at the development of political situation in Ukraine. Harsh statements of Oleksandr Moroz about the bloc “Our Ukraine” and Yulia Timoshenko allows to understand that the alliance Yushchenko-Moroz fell to pieces or, at least, cracked. The author carries out the analysis of situation in Ukraine and tries to formulate the top-priority steps that should be taken for liquidation of the current crisis.
