Thousands of Russians tell their leaders to get out of Ukraine

Protesters in Moscow and St Petersburg carried banners reading “Putin get out of Ukraine”” “Putin, we’ve had enough of your lies”, etc. Protests in other Russian cities were banned by the authorities.
On Sunday thousands of Muscovites joined a march for peace against Russian aggression. The police claim there were only 5 thousand protesters, though it is clear simply from the photos that there were many times more people, although probably not the 50 thousand that the protest’s organizers had hoped for.
A similar protest took place in St Petersburg. In other Russian cities the authorities refused to allow peaceful protests.
