A huge number of Ukrainians (Radio Svoboda gives 200 thousand, but unconfirmed) have arrived on Khreshchatyk, bearing the Ukrainian flag. They are hearing towards Maidan Nezalezhnosti in defiance of the court ban issued during the early hours of Sunday morning.
Kyiv residents comment that the metro is more crowded than during the working week rush hour, and the numbers are expected to far accede the demonstration on Nov 24.
